Overview

Roaring Moon is the fastest Dragon Dance user in the metagame after Speed is boosted. Booster Energy triggers Spe (since Spe is highest base stat tied with Atk at 119), and +1 from Dragon Dance + Booster Spe = ~700 Speed at +1 stage. Tera Flying enables Acrobatics (110 BP after item consumed, STAB after Tera = 248 effective BP) and removes Fairy weakness.

Move analysis

Dragon Dance turn 1 against a safe matchup. Crunch is bread-and-butter STAB. Iron Head for opposing Fairies (Iron Valiant 2HKO at +1). Acrobatics is the post-Booster spam — Tera Flying STAB at 110 BP (since item was consumed) hits Iron Valiant, Heatran, and bulky Grasses for huge damage.

Team partners

Great Tusk (Rapid Spin support), Iron Treads (Booster Speed + EQ), Sinistcha (Matcha Gotcha), Gholdengo (Steel/Ghost wall).

What beats Roaring Moon

Specs Iron Bundle (revenge after Booster used), Tera Fairy + Moonblast Iron Valiant, Heatran (resists Crunch + Lava Plume burn), Skeledirge (Slack Off + Torch Song chip).
