Overview

Sinistcha is the premier bulky special pivot in Gen 9 OU. Matcha Gotcha is its signature — 80 BP special Grass move that heals 50% of damage dealt (like Giga Drain but better). Strength Sap heals based on the opponent's Atk stat (huge against physical attackers like Roaring Moon, Garchomp). Heatproof halves Fire damage. Tera Water flips the matchup vs. Fire/Steel threats.

Move analysis

Matcha Gotcha is your spam button — heals + damages. Shadow Ball for Ghost coverage and Slowking-Galar pressure. Calm Mind to set up against passive opponents. Strength Sap heals + lowers opposing Atk.

Team partners

Great Tusk (Spin), Kingambit (offensive partner), Heatran (Stealth Rock + special pivot), Gholdengo (Steel/Ghost balance).

What beats Sinistcha

Specs Iron Bundle Freeze-Dry (Bundle ignores Strength Sap), Choice Band Roaring Moon Crunch, Specs Hydreigon Dark Pulse, Tera Fairy on bulky walls.
